Stay Sollentuna

I’d been living there for almost three months. I told them about my mental health problems and what was going on in my life. That’s my business, though. I’m an adult, and I do what I can to make things better. After losing a family member, I came “home” a bit drunk. The guy at reception took advantage of me and came to my room. When I wanted to stop the “sex” thing, he told me that since I’d started, I had to finish. Then he grabbed my face and forced me to do it. The owner never wanted to talk to me and kicked me out because too many ambulances had come for me. The owner put me in a bad situation.

The room I had was noisy, though maybe it was just that particular room. Doors slam really loudly, and people coming in late, at midnight or 2 AM, kept waking me up. I could also clearly hear people walking around in the room above, which was loud and annoying. The soundproofing was definitely a problem.

The setting is peaceful, surrounded by nature, with no noise, and the lake and golf club are nearby. The receptionist was kind. But getting into the city takes some planning: it’s about 20 km away, so you’ll need a car or take a bus and train. We stayed for 7 days, three of us with my parents. It’s basically a room, and the third person has to sleep on the sofa, which wasn’t comfortable and left me with back pain. The room itself was very clean, though the sheets and duvets had lots of stains. Nobody came in during our stay to clean or replace towels, sheets, or other supplies, so there was no room service. It feels like a home, but the kitchen didn’t have enough equipment for cooking. Parking was the main headache. It’s free at the hotel, but by evening we couldn’t find a space. We had to look outside, where there didn’t seem to be any proper parking nearby, so we worried about getting a ticket.

Our four-night stay was lovely. The studio had a balcony with plenty of sun, and both the room and bathroom were clean. We booked through Airbnb and got a great deal. The kitchenette had everything we needed, including an induction hob, oven, dishwasher, and utensils. Reception was really helpful too. They answered when we called from the airport around 1:30 AM and helped us check in smoothly at 2:30 AM. The hotel is in Sjöberg, Sollentuna.
