Stenungsbaden Yacht Club

The staff are very friendly, but they don't seem to stay on top of things or take ownership of the customer experience. The site is nice and has potential, though the rooms are worn out. The compact rooms are far too small, with barely any room to move in the bathroom, and the price is too high. Breakfast is average, and at this price I expected more. I'd have rated the hotel and stay at three stars. I took off another star because they recently added a 100 SEK parking fee for one night. That seems greedy when getting there by car is the only option. Staff blamed the landlord for the fee and again didn't take ownership.

We had a luxurious-feeling stay at this lovely getaway, right by the ocean and not too far from Gothenburg. The facilities were clean, and the staff were very service-minded. The spa was nice, with indoor and outdoor pools. We could also take a dip in the sea, with a sauna nearby.

Good breakfast with enough choices, and a cozy interior. The hotel is right on the shore, with great views.

Dinner was good, but the rest was bad. The place looks old and dirty, with cracks in the walls, dust and spiderwebs everywhere. There were dirty dishes on lots of tables, and the fresh towels in our room had something that looked like snot on them. Not okay. The AC in both the room and dining area made noise but didn't cool. It was very hot, and I can't recommend staying here in summer for older people. The “spa” is just a couple of small pools, nothing special. Overall, not worth the money. It needs a lot of repairs and cleaning, and there are many better places around.
