For our one night over New Year’s before taking the ferry, this place suited our plans well, and the kids were especially happy with their beds. Breakfast was a good start to the day, with a nice mix of local and international food. Staff were fine, though nothing stood out. There’s a supermarket nearby, but not much within walking distance for entertainment or lunch. We tried to visit the restaurant and sky bar, but their hours were limited and they were closed each time. You can get snacks in the lobby. I’d suggest it for a quick stop, but not as a base for exploring Stockholm if you want to stay in the city center.

Breakfast had a great selection, and it’s worth reserving ahead for the lower rate. The rooms were roomy and comfortable, and Gardet station was near enough for our plans. The location really depends on what you want to visit, but we found this to be much better value than some hotels closer to the center.

We picked this place to unwind with the family. The spa was lovely, with incredible views, and the rooms had comfortable beds. Breakfast was good, too. We also enjoyed the shared areas, with table tennis, shuffleboard and more. The restaurant and Skybar served good food with friendly, quick service.

The room itself was cozy and modern, and handled noise from the construction nearby pretty well. But the price on the night we booked was an absolute rip-off, even for a standard room. For Stockholm, I’d put the value at about 70-90€, not 180-200€. Of the four staff members I dealt with, only one was pleasant and had good manners. Keep in mind that breakfast, around 20€, and the spa, 150€, cost extra and aren’t included in the regular price.

I’ve tried plenty of Scandic hotels around Sweden and Denmark, and this one stood out because of how warmly the staff treated us. Everyone we met was so kind and welcoming, much more than I’d expected. They made the stay feel special.
