Harbour House

A good spot if you're with a dog, and the food and drinks are good. The pizza is amazing.

We were lucky to sit outside in the sun, with a lovely view of the harbor. The inside looked lovely too in case of rain. The food is nice for a decent price, though the experience is really what you'll enjoy most.

We ended up leaving without spending anything here, after feeling very clearly that our business wasn't wanted. We'd arrived by boat hoping to have lunch and do some shopping. All the moorings appeared to be bookable through Dockspot, a mooring place app, for the whole day, but none were available in the app. Around 14 spaces sat empty, so we tied up at one marked as the cafe's guest harbor. A person came over and asked what was going on. Before we had even explained that we wanted lunch as well as shopping, he lectured us sharply about not wanting people who only shop and leave. We offered to pay for the stay, but he repeated that he didn't want guests paying to stay and then shopping at the store. He also told us someone had to stay on the boat in case it needed to leave when other boats arrived, even though there were exactly zero other boats there. Two of our three people went into the cafe so we could ask about lunch and keep an eye on the boat through the window. There were almost no other customers, but the head waiter, or owner, I'm not sure which, ignored us until it got awkward. When we asked about lunch, he still said no because the space we'd used was hired for the evening. It was about 13:00. He said, "If someone arrives, it will be a f-ing mess if you are there. Especially if they are Norwegians." That was the last straw, so we gave up on lunch and went to the local burger place instead. They had a really good burger and decent fries for a third of this place's price, without badmouthing other nationalities.

Since we were there outside the main season, the ground floor restaurant was closed, which meant we had the whole place to ourselves. There was an open cafe, a shop, and other restaurants within 75 meters of the flat. It's a fantastic, romantic place right on the water. The only downside was that the bathroom needs some renovation, even though everything worked. The WiFi was acting up when we arrived in the evening, but the owner came and fixed it the next morning.
