Hafsten Resort

We were staying in a holiday flat on Orust without a washing machine, and laundrettes aren't common in Sweden. Of the three campsites we contacted, this was the first to get back to us with a yes. We really appreciated the kind service. Best wishes from Germany :)

The sea is always nearby, and depending on the wind you can find a sheltered spot. There's lots to do at the campsite too, including a pool area. Highly recommend it 👌

Kids and adults can both have a great time here. There's a big beach, a nice pool, forest trails for walks, and it's dog friendly.

The beach and playgrounds were great, and the pool was warm, so at least the kids enjoyed themselves. The rest of the stay was deeply disappointing. The stuga was advertised as freshly renovated, but ours was a tiny, unrenovated hut without blinds or blackout curtains, which made it hard for the kids to sleep. It was the most expensive stuga we'd stayed in in Sweden, yet also the smallest and least comfortable. Management didn't seem to care when I tried to raise the issue, and reception said they'd contact us but never did. Five-star prices, with no service or comfort. The layout was impractical for a family. A double bed in the living area took up much of the space, and the tiny kitchen table with ridiculous recycled garden chairs couldn't fit five people for a meal indoors. The houses and pitches are packed close together, so there's little privacy and it feels crowded. Everything else was expensive too, and they even charge kids extra for the pool slide. We won't be back.
