It’s quiet despite being easy to reach from the main highway. Breakfast was plentiful, with a good range of Scandinavian staples like crispbread, bread, cold cuts, and yogurt. The rooms were spotless and roomy, with a large entry area and space for an extra cot for a third person. The owners also shared a lot about the building’s history and the area. There’s a separate guest building with a kitchen and living room, which would be handy on a longer stay.

Everything looked spotless and well cared for, and the rooms and facilities were cleaned daily. It’s a short drive to Gävle, where there are some nice museums to visit. I’d stay here again if I had the chance.

Good hotel in Valbo, but the booking website’s description didn’t match the actual setup. There’s no air conditioning, no refrigerator in the room, and no extra bed. The dinner room is in another building. There is a shared service room with a coffee machine, TV, table and chairs, a sitting area, and a large refrigerator for all the hotel’s guests.

Small, nice hotel, with delicious food. Very good value for the price.

It’s very expensive for the services they offer.
