The restaurant was the biggest letdown. We waited 20 minutes just to be seated, despite only one couple being ahead of us, and then watched the waiter disappear for five minutes after seating each group. Food took a long time too: soggy bread before the meal, fish cooked past its best, and no real explanation of what was being served. Breakfast was another struggle, and they forgot our order. For the price, there were several other small disappointments as well. We'd booked the two-day spa package after hearing the kusthotell had the same owner as Ästad, where we'd stayed several times and always had a spotless experience, from the rooms and spa to the food and service. This stay was special, just not in the way we'd hoped. The spa is small and gets crowded, though it was being expanded, so I won't judge it on that. I wouldn't return until the staff have had some serious training from Ästad.

The pillows were the softest and fluffiest I've ever slept on, and the breakfast was great. The staff were lovely too! The bed faced away from the view, which was a shame, and the scrambled eggs were very odd and inedible. Everything else was 10/10. Highly recommend.

The food was good, but by the time it came I was far too hungry to enjoy it. We waited an hour and a half for the starter after ordering, even with a dinner reservation, and no one explained the delay or offered any meaningful compensation.

I've stayed at Kust hotel many times, and Alex at the front desk made this visit especially memorable. Alex welcomed me with such a warm smile as soon as I arrived that I felt at home right away. People like Alex make every stay so pleasant. Thank you!

The rooms are attractive and have nice amenities, but they hadn't been dusted properly. There's enough dust on the surfaces that anyone sensitive or allergic should know beforehand. It was a lovely weekend escape, with a small but very nice spa and a good range of options for its size. The waterfront location is wonderful too. You can step from the restaurant straight onto the beach and walk off your food coma in just a couple of minutes.
