The rooms are spacious and very clean, and most have a shared terrace. Breakfast is buffet style with plenty of options, including Swedish treats alongside familiar foods like eggs, waffles and jam. The hotel is about a 20-minute walk from the ferry station, but it's centrally located, and you can get to all parts of Visby within a 10-minute walk. Highly recommended!

On our first night, a wedding party made loud noise from 11 p.m. until 4:30 a.m., and none of the hotel staff came to deal with it. I couldn't reach the hotel, so I complained through Booking.com's customer service. In the morning, the hotel offered to refund my 200 SEK parking fee in a Booking.com message, but what they gave me was two small bottles of beer, worth about 50 SEK total.

We had a very good stay, and I could definitely see myself coming back. The hotel is cute, the service was great, and we got the private balcony we requested. Being on the top floor was pretty quiet, so we slept well. A few things bothered me enough to make it four stars: breakfast was good but limited to sandwiches and some cereal, and I'd have liked more variety to change it up day by day. There was a stage in the backyard that spoiled the view a bit, though it probably isn't usually there. The doors in our room also stuck and took quite a pull to open.

We stopped by the ice cream bar, and the ice cream was delicious, if pricey. I thought it was worth it. Having to order and pay through a QR code is annoying, though, and needing to give them your phone number just to place an order is absolutely unacceptable. Your personal information goes straight to a Norwegian corporation and the hotel.

The garden and the whole setup are lovely, and breakfast is really nice too. The rooms are simple, and the bathroom is a little dated, but the location and service make up for that. It's close to the city, yet just far enough out to stay quiet, and near the water, beach and botanical garden. It's a shame the bar/cafe isn't open for longer, because having a nice coffee in the garden would be lovely at any time of day.
