Villa Strandvägen

In recent years, nothing has meant more to me than finding this place. The quiet, the nature, and the home-like feeling are exactly what I've been missing, since the war means I can't be in my home in Ukraine. Lisa welcomed me warmly and offered coffee or tea with pastries at fika time. My room under the roof was spacious and cozy. Breakfast had a great selection of quality products. When I left, one of the staff kindly gave me a bun for the road. It was such a touching gesture, like being with relatives. I'm already looking forward to coming back. 🌿✨

Breakfast was absolutely fabulous: fresh scrambled eggs with bacon, little pancakes made by a very friendly female chef, homemade jam, fresh fruit, and different cheeses. Eating it in the villa's stylish interior was a pleasure in itself. Lee gave us a very warm welcome, then offered tea and scones on the terrace while explaining how everything worked during our stay. Our basement room had a tiny bedroom with a great king-size bed and a large bathroom. We did miss somewhere to put our clothes. There was only space to open one suitcase, with no room for a second or a wardrobe. A few hooks and hangers aren't enough for a 14-day holiday.

We upgraded one dinner from our spa package to eat at Villa Strandvägen, and it was well worth it. The food was generally well made. I especially recommend the lamb with gremolata, the fish, and the chocolate cake made with Malmö choklad. It's a small, cute place with attentive staff. They even had someone who knew a lot about wine, which you don't usually find at a spa hotel.

We came away feeling refreshed after a really lovely experience. The villa is cozy, the staff were welcoming, and the food was tasty and good. We also loved the spa in ystad saltsjobad. Yoga at sunrise with a lovely instructor was a great time, and we had dinner served in bed with the fireplace on. The beach is a lovely place to cool down after the sauna. Definitely recommend it! 😊😊
