Hilton Vacation Club Flamingo Beach St. Maarten

Our villa was in building 3, with a large balcony overlooking the bay and mega yachts. The beaches were only a few minutes away on foot, and the bar and beach staff were pleasant and very helpful. Everything in the room felt new, from the towels and sheets to the appliances and furniture. It was clean, well equipped, and just right. Jahnilla made check-in and check-out a graceful, easy experience. We also ate at Juliette's Bistro a couple of times. The food impressed us, and the specials were honestly priced.

The pool was excellent, with plenty of room, and it’s close to the ocean. There are several local places within walking distance, though getting to a number of the good spots means going down and back up a significant hill. Keep that in mind if someone in your group has limited mobility. You’ll also need a rental car to get around. The drive up has some major potholes and speed bumps on the road to the hotel, a heads up, though that’s not the hotel’s fault. We had a really good time at the Hilton Flamingo Bay. The grounds were beautiful, well cared for, and clean. Check-in was the low point: the staff were friendly but not helpful. The next day, with a different staff and supervisor, things were night and day better. After that, service was good and everyone was kind. We were happy with our stay and would definitely come back. Highly recommend!

Our room was across the street, away from the ocean side, and the people were nice. The food at Pelican Grill was decent. It’s close to a lot of places you can walk to, and the price was right. No frills, but it had what we needed for a good stay. Nice overall, though it wasn’t truly five star by any measure. I’d recommend staying here.

The beach was fabulous, with plenty of chairs and umbrellas, and the water was calm and clear. We spent a couple of days there, and the beachside restaurant had a nice menu. The room was close by, quiet and clean, with a very comfortable bed and pillows. We liked the space once we got past being disappointed by the view and the bleached mildew smell when we first walked in. We had a car and got to explore lots of wonderful places around the island. In the evenings, we’d freshen up and walk to one of the many nearby restaurants, then come back for the pool and hot tub. It’s a great location, and we’d stay again.
