Princess Heights

Those balconies and the views from around Princess Heights Hotel were incredible. We stayed four nights with family, and the spacious rooms had king-sized beds, comfortable pillows and mattresses, and very clean linens. The decor and furniture gave the place a cared-for, home-like feel, while the kitchen had everything we needed to make several days' worth of meals after grocery shopping. We ate inside and out on the balcony, though mosquitoes showed up in the evenings. The front desk staff were lovely and went out of their way to help, including finding us a dinner spot. The pool, slide, and diving board kept kids busy, and as an animal lover I was delighted by the cats and dogs around the hotel. We even woke up on our first morning to monkeys wandering through the parking lot, a real treat for someone from Boston. I loved the Caribbean architecture and the relaxed atmosphere; some chain hotels we passed looked plain by comparison. You can see the care that went into the place. I'd gladly return.

We spent four nights here and had a great stay. The staff were caring and friendly, and even lent us beach chairs and an umbrella for the day at no charge. Our apartment had lots of space and a fully equipped kitchen, plus gorgeous balcony views. Since the area is hilly, having a car is a must, and walking to nearby restaurants might not be very pleasant. Thanks for a memorable visit!

Saskia welcomed us so warmly, showed us around, explained the area, and walked us to our room. The grounds have a strong local character and feel well made, with little details to discover like fountains, cozy grilling spots, and courtyards. From the spectacular pool, with its slide and diving board, we could see St Barts and St Kitts across the Caribbean. This is a special place, and I can't wait to come back and catch up with Saskia. ❤️

We've been to St Maarten many times and really enjoyed our stay at Princess. The staff did so much to make it feel magical, and the pool was even larger than it looks, with the slide getting plenty of use from my family. Four of us shared a spacious two-bedroom unit, while my sister and nephew had a roomy one-bedroom; both had wonderful balcony space and ocean views. The grounds are beautifully maintained and have security around the clock. I'd definitely recommend staying here, especially for visits to the Oyster Pond and Orient Bay areas. I always suggest renting a car on the island.
