With our four children, we found this place a real paradise for them. There are two huts on the property, though the owner usually rents just one. We needed space for two families, and he made that possible. He’s friendly and very helpful, and pets are allowed. The drive from the valley up to the hut takes 15-20 minutes.

Lovely view across Lake Bled and the surrounding area, and the food was nice. It’s open on weekends. The family were friendly and worked hard.

The hosts were great, and the cottage is cute and well furnished, a lovely retreat away from the busy tourist area. Just keep in mind the access road runs about 4km through the forest, which could be difficult for a low or sporty car.
