Guest House Vera

The owners were so kind and helpful, and we loved the room’s Slovenian style. Everything was very clean, and the kitchen and bathroom came with all the useful things, from pots and cutlery to towels and a hairdryer. The location worked perfectly for us, with a large supermarket about a 3-minute walk away and Lake Bled close by. We’ll definitely come back next year!

A good-sized apartment in a really convenient location.

Guest House Vera made a lovely base for our three nights in Bled. It’s in a quiet neighbourhood, within easy walking distance of Lake Bled, and hiking trails start nearby. We also used it for day trips around the region. Our hike to Volovjek was challenging but stunning, one of the best walks we’ve done in a long time. The apartment was spacious, spotless, and well cared for. Staying in the hosts’ private home gave it a cozy, authentic feel. They were warm and welcoming from the start, and always happy to help. Our host even shared a personal list of his favourite local restaurants. We tried some of his suggestions, including bakery Zima, where we had the famous Bled Cream Cake. So good! Slovenia is a beautiful country, and our stay here was memorable. Bled is a great place for local food, nature, and hiking, and Guest House Vera is a wonderful place to stay while exploring. We’d happily return and recommend it.

The Alps look breathtaking from the large balcony, and the house has parking. The apartment is fantastic, with a fully equipped kitchen, and it’s very close to both the lake and shops. The owner speaks excellent English and was extremely helpful whenever we needed something. If you’re visiting Bled, Vera Guest House is a great place to stay.
