We left the apartment clean and tidy, but the host still accused us rudely of not returning it “as received.” His complaints seemed unreasonable: the towels weren’t folded, the bed wasn’t made, there was a small piece of paper on the floor, a bottle of lotion and a pair of socks were left behind, and we hadn’t switched off the lights at checkout. Shouldn’t the host inspect the room after guests leave? The irony is that the room wasn’t clean when we arrived. My friend even washed the toilet on our first day, but we didn’t complain because we wanted to be respectful. Still, we were blamed. The photos attached are what the host sent as his so-called “feedback,” and they show how minor these things were. One of the most unreasonable hosts we’ve dealt with. Your complaints were about small things, including an unfolded towel, a piece of paper that was a receipt, and a few personal items we forgot. The toilet was dirty when we checked in, and we cleaned it ourselves out of respect. The blanket was unfolded because we were checking underneath to see if we’d left anything there. It wasn’t dirty. In your own reply, you said, “In the bedding, there were wrapped wet towels, so the blankets and pillows had to go for washing.” Does that mean you normally don’t wash the blankets after every checkout, and only do it when you find something inside? Future guests can decide for themselves whether they’re comfortable staying somewhere that may not change blankets between stays. Your public reply calling guests “used to living in dirt” was extremely unprofessional and says more about your attitude than ours. Guests can judge for themselves what “dirt” means and whether they’d feel comfortable staying at your place.

The female host was fine, but dealing with the male host was unpleasant. He was extremely rude. The toilet hadn’t been cleaned properly, and the towels were worn out. As other guests have said, the blankets clearly aren’t washed between stays, which is completely unacceptable for any accommodation. The location is the only good thing about this place, and it doesn’t make up for the poor hygiene or terrible attitude.

It was a peaceful spot, close enough to get out and see the main sights around the town. From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming, kind, and always happy to help. My room was spotless and spacious, with a thoughtful design that felt both comfortable and charming. I had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Slovenia!

As another guest mentioned, the host said he “had to wash the blanket for the next guest.” That makes me wonder whether the blankets are washed after every checkout. It’s honestly concerning from a hygiene perspective.
