Super host, great location for a holiday getaway.

We were a couple staying for three nights in summer 2025, and we definitely won’t return. The room was advertised on Booking as 15 square meters, but seemed no bigger than 10. We felt ripped off. Its window faced the shared balcony, which was also the access route. The cheap blinds were broken, leaving our bed visible to anyone outside. A table right by the window was often used by guests smoking, and the smoke and loud conversations made it almost impossible to air out the tiny room. The bathroom had much the same privacy problem. The broken blinds had to be coaxed into offering even a little cover, and there was another table right outside where people were constantly sitting. My girlfriend was reluctant to use the bathroom and waited until nobody was on the balcony. You could hear every word and noise from the hallway, which also served as the kitchen, because the soundproofing was so thin. The place looked clean at first, but a closer look showed lots of dust, including behind the bedside table. The beds were tiny, with cheap, worn mattresses. The general condition was mediocre: the bedside lamp and blinds were broken, and tape had been used to patch the kitchen faucet. On the positive side, there was a washing machine and the bathroom was clean. The price was far too high for what we got. Half would have been more than enough. We’re fine with basic accommodation, but these shortcomings were awful and should be reflected in the price. We’ve stayed in better, cheaper places even in Switzerland. We got the impression they charge whatever they can get. That’s not what I’d call modesty.

The Julian Alps and Triglav make a beautiful setting here, with Bohinj Lake, the Mostnica Riverbed and the cable car to Vogel all worth a visit. The accommodation was excellent, the owner was friendly, and it’s close to town and Lake Bled.

I’d avoid booking the upper floor on its own. It lacks blackout blinds, and there’s a motion detector in the bedroom, among other issues.
