I couldn’t sleep well because the walls are so thin that I heard the neighbors talking until 2 a.m. The hotel feels old and outdated, and the bathroom wasn’t maintained well: the tiles and mirror were dirty, the faucet and shower ran at the same time, and the drain couldn’t keep up. For the price, I don’t think it was worth it, and it didn’t feel like a 3-star stay.

The breakfast buffet was good, but the restaurant keeps limited hours. There’s only one other restaurant nearby for meals, though there’s a bar next door. A supermarket and laundromat are about 500m away, the train station is 2km away, and next door there’s a Eurocar rental and an olympic public swimming pool. The hotel is built with a Casino downstairs. Rooms are small and set up for short stays, with no fridge or extras like coffee or a lounge chair.

The town is a bit of a walk away, though we knew that when we booked. Celje Lava station is closer, around a 10-15 minute walk, but trains run intermittently. Our room was a decent size and comfortable, and the staff were helpful and pleasant. The breakfast room was nice, with a reasonable choice. The corridors could do with a bit of freshening up.

Fair prices and good service. I’d been riding up from Croatia on my motorbike and was looking for somewhere as the sun went down. Found this place, had a relaxed night with lasko beer, and chatted with the waitress.
