Hotel Švicarija - Terme Dobrna

The rooms are comfortable and spotless, and the saunas in this small hotel are even cleaner. I came back this year for work and found the place, which was already lovely, even better. After many months, Srečko at reception recognized me. I was really pleased, and I still envy how well he speaks so many languages. Thanks again for the warm welcome for both me and my clients.

There are great hiking opportunities around this lovely four-star hotel. The thermal bath itself is fairly small, with not many pools, but the hotel is modern and comfortable, and the food is great too.

The rooms were great, and breakfast had lots of choice and tasted very good. The staff were friendly, especially Srecko at reception, who greeted us with a big smile. The location is nice. You do have to walk 500 m to another hotel in the same property to use the pool and saunas, but that wasn't a problem for me.

The grounds are beautiful and quiet, with a lovely park for walks. Since Hotel Švicarija is part of Terme Dobrna, the pool is in the main Hotel Vita, about 200 meters down the road. The pool is good, though you need to bring your towels, and there isn't really anywhere in the room to dry a swimsuit. The bathroom heating is off in summer, understandably. We stayed three nights in July and had a very positive experience. The rooms were clean and well equipped, and both breakfast and dinner were delicious, with a good range of food that suited the healthy feel of the place. One thing I'd change is the breakfast machine coffee. It tasted awful, with a strong industrial, powdered-coffee flavor.
