The views from the terrace and restaurant are stunning, and the staff were friendly. The beach takes a walk down the hill. It isn't the best beach, since it's concrete, but the buffet was nice and the view there was great. We managed the walk with a stroller, though it's more comfortable if you're active. You'll need a car to get around, with restaurants and nice beaches 5-10 minutes away by car. For us, that was the trade-off for the view, since town isn't an easy walk. There are no elevators in Villa Palma, but there are large parking spaces in front of the villa building. Our room was spacious enough for two adults and a baby, with a comfortable bed and useful things like a mini fridge, microwave, and kettle. The furniture is a bit old, but it was clean. The terrace is large and the view is beautiful, though the chairs were uncomfortable without cushions and the weeds on the floor were disappointing. It didn't feel like the terrace was cared for much. Breakfast tastes good and has lots of choices. We enjoyed it outside on the terrace, which has a beautiful view, since it can get crowded and noisy indoors. Arrive after 8:30 AM and it can feel like “Hunger Games.” The coffee machines aren't placed well, and their coffee wasn't very tasty. They're fine for a caffeine boost, but coffee lovers may prefer to order from the bar. The pool area is nice, though the pools were really cold in August, when the weather was mostly rainy and 25-28 Celsius. The supervisor was unfriendly, and the pool area closes too early at 7:00 PM.

My kids loved the swimming pool, and the hotel's breakfast was very good, definitely recommended. The hotel sits by itself on top of a cliff. Unless you eat lunch or dinner at its restaurant or the nearby local restaurant about 750 meters away, you'll need to go elsewhere. The closest town, Izola, is around 3 km away.

There's plenty of green space and the spots for cars, campers, and tents are big enough. The beach is near the camp, and there are clean toilets, hot water, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. It's a good place to stay for a few days.

The free shuttle bus to the beach was handy, and breakfast had a decent spread. Just be aware the hotel hosted lots of families with young children, in case that's something you'd rather avoid. We stayed two nights in a villa room with a kitchenette and a gorgeous balcony view. The main problem was the lack of working air conditioning. There was an old, very dusty unit that barely helped with the heat. The room got very hot, and the curtains did little to block heat or light. The bathroom was tiny, it was tricky even to get to the toilet, and the shower curtain wasn't ideal.
