The owner was welcoming and helpful, and the location in the old town was spot on. It’s a two-minute walk to the seaside and five minutes to the bus stop, with plenty to do nearby. There are also well-kept roads and trails for hiking toward Piran or Koper. I spent three days here. The place was cozy, quiet, and clean, and the kitchen was really well equipped with everything needed for cooking. I’ll stay here again on my next visit to this beautiful town.

The atmosphere was so relaxing, right in the heart of Izola’s old town. I arrived late, but the host still let me check in. The hospitality and service were some of the best I’ve experienced. The hotel and hostel are great, and I’ll definitely stay here again and again. Thank you for being so welcoming.

I injured my leg during the trip, and Uroš offered to take me to the hospital and bring me back. I’m really grateful for that kindness. The family who runs the Hostel were some of the nicest people I met on my trip, so welcoming and kind.

The location is superb, close to both the bus station and the seaside. I stayed in a four-bed dorm, and it, the bathroom, kitchen, and common area were all very clean. The shared spaces are fully equipped if you want to cook. The hosts are friendly and helpful, and it has a welcoming, family-run feel. Reception isn’t open all day, so arrange your check-in time with the host in advance. They let me into my room early before business hours, and there was no problem at all. I’d definitely recommend this hostel for an overnight stay in Izola!

The staff and other guests were really friendly, and I liked the small common area. My attic room was cute, and the location is very convenient for getting around on foot. The rooms are nice, though I wouldn’t call the hostel especially clean. It was okay for a hostel. When I arrived, the door was open and nobody was at reception. The rooms weren’t locked either, so I could walk right into them. Izola doesn’t feel dangerous, but I’d still use the lockers by the beds for valuables. Prices felt quite high. The kitchen wasn’t very clean or well equipped: there were just two stove burners, one large pot, and no pan without badly scratched Teflon. I think they should provide iron pans, even if they cost more at first, since scratched Teflon can cause cancer. There aren’t many bathrooms, but I imagine it works out if the hostel isn’t full. Izola is such a nice place to spend time, and I’d really recommend visiting.
