Kmetija Medljan

This was our favorite place to stay in Slovenia, even after we'd been choosing “nice” hotels. It’s a farm stay, and we found it really comfortable: good beds, a hot pot, extra blankets, and heating we could turn up or down. Charging devices was easy, and those little touches made a difference. The cat was friendly and very sweet. We also had a great dinner here, one of our best meals on the trip. After a week of hotels, it was nice dealing with the family who owns and runs the place instead of a corporation. In summer, it seems like a good option for going into town and then getting away from the bustle at the end of the day.

The peaceful setting, delicious food, and warm welcome made this beautiful tourist farm a memorable stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel at home. There’s plenty of room and things for young children to do, so it’s very family-friendly. I’d highly recommend it for a relaxing, authentic visit.

We celebrated a birthday here, with the best food and service. It was just like nona’s kitchen, using produce from their own garden and locally sourced meat and wine. Excellent, highly recommend.

It feels like the middle of nowhere, but the main sights on the Slovenian Coast aren’t far away. People here are extremely friendly, and it’s a place where you can rest your soul. They offer horse riding, and cook domestic food that’s hard to find in regular restaurants. If you go, say hello to Bernie the dog from me!
