Apartment nr. 16

We’ve come back to these apartments several times, and every visit has been more than great. The owner is welcoming, and the apartments are quite well equipped. It’s also a quiet, very clean place, with a lovely garden and a great location.👍🏻

The garden and patio are lovely spots to relax or have tea, and the kitchen has everything we needed. We slept comfortably, and parking inside the property felt safe. Kamnik center is reachable on foot or by bike, while Velika Planina and other nice mountain and forest spots are just a few km away. The apartment’s styling and little touches make it feel distinctive and classy, yet still warm and comfortable.

We left at 6 pm on Sunday, just an hour and a half after checking in at 4:30 pm. After a hike, we showered and went to put our things in the fridge, where we found a lot of mold at the back and a dead spider. We then noticed so many dirty areas around the apartment that we didn’t feel comfortable staying. The old woman who handed us the keys didn’t speak English. Our quick booking messages had been with someone who apparently wasn’t the owner and wasn’t the person at the apartment. We called our contact to say we’d ask Booking for a refund. He offered to have the apartment cleaned, but by then it was evening, and we felt it would take a whole day. In the end, we received no refund. For anyone with even modest cleanliness standards, this place may not be suitable. We did find a very clean nearby apartment, Apartma Center in Kamnik, where a lovely woman gave us a warm welcome, and we had a wonderful stay there. Also, this apartment is right on the main street, with a lot of traffic. The bedroom is upstairs and gets really hot, with no air con.

The beds were comfortable, and the apartments felt newly renovated with all the amenities we could want. We had a fantastic stay. A fan or air con would have been the one extra thing we missed.
