We were there in 2018, and the area around the house was breathtaking. It made a great base for family and for exploring beautiful parts of Slovenia. The pool was excellent, the grounds were lovely, and the owner was friendly and helpful. It’s also a short drive to beautiful cities along the Slovenia coast. I can highly recommend staying here.

The owners were very kind and helpful, and getting the keys was easy. We spent a week in this lovely, well-kept holiday home. It’s idyllic and very quiet, though a little out of the way, about 15 minutes from Koper along some rather narrow mountain roads. Even when daytime temperatures went above 30 degrees Celsius, the large, clean pool, thick stone walls, and shutters made our stay very pleasant.

The garden and pool are lovely, and the pool was cleaned in the middle of the week, a nice bit of care that never felt intrusive. After spending a week at Villa Lavanda, I can honestly give it five stars. The villa is roomy and spotless, with several bathrooms and toilets that are all well maintained. Even though our arrival time was delayed several times, the key handover went perfectly. It’s a rural setting, so expect insects and other creepy-crawlies.

I wouldn’t recommend it. The owner was arrogant, the apartment was quite dirty, and my children got an infection from the pool water.
