At the Prisoje hostel in Koper, rooms come as single, double, or triple options, each with a bathroom, TV, and heating. It’s affordable and close to the city center. There are shared areas, plus a snack bar and vending machines for drinks.

For two nights, our double room cost 168 euros, so it wasn’t the cheapest option. It’s a student residence, and unfortunately ours was dirty: there was visible mold in the shower stall and bugs crawling around. There’s no air conditioning either. The kitchen had a pot, cutlery, and plates, but not even a basic kettle for coffee. Downstairs by reception there were vending machines for cold drinks and coffee. There is an elevator.

Just a basic room with a fan to cool it. The price seemed reasonable for what you get: you pay little, and that’s what you get.

We booked on a sudden afternoon impulse, and got confirmation just three minutes later. No advance payment was needed. The staff were kind and spoke English. It’s a hostel, but tidy and clean, with private parking, a private bathroom, air conditioning, and an elevator. For three people, it was 46 thousand for one night including taxes.
