Boutique Hotel and Restaurant Milka

The setting was one of the most beautiful in Slovenia, and Milka Boutique Hotel brought together luxury, warm hospitality, and world-class food. I highly recommend it if you're after a memorable stay. We spent about a week there, and the team made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Our room had breathtaking views, with elegant, comfortable design throughout the hotel. Staff were attentive, warm, and always ready to help. Breakfast each morning was stunning, with fresh, high-quality ingredients and beautifully presented dishes. The Michelin-starred restaurant was an extraordinary experience too. Every dinner felt like a work of art, with creative flavors, impeccable presentation, and outstanding wine pairings.

Breakfast at the hotel was beautifully arranged and delicious. We had it twice, and regretted that we weren't staying while dinner was being offered, though I bet it would be great. The staff were friendly and courteous throughout our September trip to Slovenia. Our room was beautifully decorated, comfortable, and had a wonderful view of Lake Jasna, just steps from the hotel. It's also a convenient base for nearby Kranska Gora and Vrsic Pass. My wife and I had a wonderful stay, and highly recommend it if you're in the area.

The hotel was small and personal, and I loved that about it. The staff made sure every guest got their attention, and you could tell they enjoyed working there. Their way of doing things might seem unusual at first, but it made sense once we experienced it. The evening drinks area has set hours, which lets the team focus on guests during that time. The sauna also needs to be booked ahead, and I initially thought that sounded restrictive. Actually, they prepare it just for you: it's at the right temperature, with fresh towels, water, snacks, and instructions for connecting your own music. It felt private, spotless, and tailored to us. Breakfast was outstanding. We'd expected a buffet, but instead got varied, high-quality food on individual platters, beautifully presented. You can tell the restaurant is Michelin starred. Housekeeping was excellent too. Our room was cleaned while we were out skiing, and when we went to dinner, they gave it a full turndown service. We expected a good stay, but it was genuinely amazing. Everything felt precise and intentional, with service aimed at giving guests a great experience. Exceptional from beginning to end, and we'll absolutely be back.

The restaurant was probably the finest dining experience we've ever had, and the team's service was genuinely kind and professional. The view from our room across Lake Jasna toward the mountains was stunning too. We experienced hospitality at its purest. Congratulations to the whole team for creating something so special.
