Simbol Rooms - Hostel

The room was okay, but the service was extremely bad. The owner greeted us with snarky comments and immediately shouted at us for trying to bring a stroller into our private room. Instead of explaining the issue or helping us find a solution, he treated us horribly. We felt so uncomfortable that we wanted to leave and asked for a refund. He said, “yes please leave,” and agreed to give us a full refund. Once he learned we were in a private room, though, he changed his mind and refused, telling us to either leave or stay. In all my years of staying in hostels, I’ve never been treated so poorly for no reason. I hope the owners realize how awful this was and change for the better.

The rooms are really quiet, and the mattresses are very good. They feel state of the art.

There was a pleasant covered outdoor area where I could eat, relax and meet people. The hostel had a social feel, and I met all kinds of interesting people during my short stay. It was good value for money and ticked all my boxes, with a comfortable temperature for sleeping, private showers, and a bus stop and supermarket nearby.

The rooms are compact and have bunk beds, but I had a nice stay overall. My only real drawback was that my room had no curtains. It’s a quiet part of town, with a friendly host, a useful kitchen and a very good shared bathroom. There’s a convenience store right outside and a vending machine at reception.
