The pool is new, beautifully done, and a relaxing place to spend time. We also enjoyed the saunas and the Serenity beauty center, especially the Filipino Hilot massage, which was amazing. Our room was large, fresh, spotless, and clearly well cared for. The staff made us feel welcome throughout our stay. We were very happy with Hotel Habakuk and will be back.

The bar was a highlight: they made whatever we asked for, and prices felt good compared with western EU. There's also a fantastic Italian restaurant just a three-minute walk away, with the best pizza I've had in five years. The hotel is fancy, breakfast is solid, and the amenities are great. Its location worked brilliantly for skiing during our week there. The sauna had older naked people, which wasn't the best experience, and our bathroom smelled like sewage for all five days. Still, a great stay for the price. 8/10.

The squash area was a mess, with peeling walls that could cause an injury and faulty lights that made playing difficult. The men's showers looked years old, and one client said it can take up to five minutes to get warm water. For 20€ for 45 minutes, there are much better quality options around Maribor. At the spa, there was hair across the floor and no cleaning lady came by during the two hours I was there to mop or wipe it up. There was just one towel, no shower gel, and the water wasn't warm enough. Reception didn't tell me some areas were out of order, and there were birds in the enclosed area. I expected a lot after the hotel's renovation, but was extremely underwhelmed.

The hotel, pool, and room were all impressively clean, and the staff were notably friendly. We didn't have a hairdryer in our room. I can't tell if that's true of every room or if ours was an exception.

We had a really pleasant lunch on the terrace at Hotel Habakuk. The Caesar salad was fresh and tasty, and service was both quick and friendly. The lobby bar terrace is a lovely, peaceful place to sit and enjoy the view.
