We spent four nights there over the New Year holidays, and it was a disaster. The room stayed cold even with the air conditioning running nonstop. The bathroom had no heating at all. I didn’t measure it, but it was certainly below 15°C. After two showers there was no hot water left for the third person. The hygiene was a complete disgrace. I took photos of everything. We came home sick, and my daughter and wife had fevers.

Our stay in 2020 was really good, but last year was a disaster. The electric heater almost fell on my wife’s head while she was in the bathroom. That’s zero safety, a real danger. The kitchen was in catastrophic condition, and they charge around 80 euros for it? Outrageous. Dirty and messy. I can’t recommend it.

We paid 75 euros a night for two people in a two-bedroom apartment. The kitchen was okay, but everything else was in poor condition. It’s below ground in the basement, damp, and the walls and doors are dirty. Hairy centipedes were running around, and there are no window screens. Check-out was at 11:00, but the owner arrived at 10:30 and started kicking us out. The one plus was unlimited capsule coffee.

We’d happily stay here again. The small hotel was so welcoming, and the owner was friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. We didn’t speak the local language, but that wasn’t a problem. When it started raining, he even lent us his umbrella.

The view from Love 2 Solkan is breathtaking, and we’ve felt very comfortable here with our two children, aged 12 and 3. Mr. Vojko Fon is hospitable, helpful, always smiling and in a good mood, and ready to listen. We feel we’re in excellent hands. The apartment is beautiful and clean, with a lovely balcony, chairs, table, clothes rack, clothespins, and an awning. Inside there are two huge, very comfortable beds and a single bed, TV, air conditioning, plenty of storage, and a very large bathroom with a bathtub and big sink. Towels, a hairdryer, soap, shower gel, and toilet paper are provided. The kitchen has utensils, a coffee machine, and free coffee. Parking is free and available. Thank you so much for everything, Mr. Fon!
