Guesthouse Opara

The terraced balcony looks out over the sea, and there's a small shared kitchen with a bar fridge where you can buy drinks, including Opara wines made by the family who own the holiday house. Our little apartment at Opara Holiday house was almost brand new, sparkling clean, and very spacious. We were blown away by it. The owner was so friendly and welcomed us with an explanation of the room and directions to the city. Breakfast can be arranged too, and she was able to provide a gluten free one for me. The villa is a little outside the old town, but with a car, the private parking spot is well worth the 10-15 minute walk into town. Beautiful villa, great location, wonderful hosts. Honestly, I can't recommend it enough. Book it!

The location was the only reason I could give this 3 stars. I came after seeing the 5-star rating and reviews on Google Maps, but ended up disappointed. Sure, there were a few good things, but the negative aspects outweighed them. I think the reviews exaggerate.

There are only a few rooms, so it stays well away from the hustle and bustle, and there's even parking in the sheltered courtyard. The hostesses were very friendly. Breakfast out on the terrace, looking over the sea, was sensational. A wonderful holiday spot, and I can wholeheartedly recommend it.

The room was quiet and really nice, and the staff were so friendly. We had an apartment with a high-quality, well-equipped kitchen, though there’s also a lovely outdoor kitchen for guests without one. The terrace has a fantastic sea view, and we even spotted dolphins one evening. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the sea and 10-15 minutes to the town center, but both routes are quite steep, so you need to be comfortable walking uphill. Breakfast is an extra €15 per person and felt a little meager for the price. We had a wonderful stay and would happily recommend the place. :)
