The Trumpet and Cloud Hostel

Everything was very clean, and the staff were welcoming. The location is great, with parking, a small supermarket right next door, and a little outdoor area. It’s on a hill, so the walk to the beach is uphill and takes about 15 minutes ;) There’s only one shower and toilet per floor, so it could get crowded when full. Each room does have its own sink, which makes brushing your teeth easy.

A handy base for visiting both Piran and Portoroz. The kitchen and facilities were good, and they let us keep using the parking after checkout.

For the price, it was absolutely fine. We paid 30€ for two people and a tent, which is pretty cheap compared with other places. The hostel was very flexible and let us book a spot for the same day. The facilities were basic, just as we expected. Parking was tricky, but there was a lot a few meters down the way. Great location too, Piran is only a 20-minute walk.

We stayed at the hostel during the salsa festival. The rooms were simple, clean, and perfectly fine. I left my laptop charger behind, and they kindly sent it back to me later :)
