The restaurant deserves credit for excellent food and a lovely terrace, but lunch took two and a half hours for the four-course daily offer. That slow-food pace wasn’t great when we wanted to go sightseeing, and the meal felt far too expensive for a daily menu. Ljubljana has similar quality daily offers for 60% of the price. Our room was clean, but cramped to the point where there was barely room to move around the double bed. It was about 9 m2 without the bathroom. The shower-head holder was broken and the bathroom doors wouldn’t close, so “a small single room with issues” would have been a more accurate description. The host wasn’t helpful. Most responses were “wait,” and requests brought complaints about how hard life is. We were even overcharged at the end instead of getting a discount. If you book, check the room type carefully. That didn’t help us because they were overbooked. They advertise regular-sized rooms, then also sell tiny ones for the same price or more. I can’t recommend staying here. The business could be very good, but it needs to treat customers ethically and use feedback to improve.

The restaurant just downstairs was one of the best I’ve tried. The town center was an easy walk, even with our two little kids, when every extra meter counts. The room itself was basic but nicely furnished, clean, quiet, and good value for the money.

The bar and restaurant are clean and pleasant, with a terrace looking toward Ptuj castle. Staff were very friendly and the hospitality was superb. The neighborhood is quiet, with little traffic and speed bumps on the street.

The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and terrace, and it’s the best in Ptuj. We also had great service and a clean, comfortable room with views of the castle and lake. Highly recommend.

We were left outside in front of an empty, dark place after our booking was cancelled in the middle of the night. The contact number was no use, and the person was rude and unhelpful. Don’t use this place. If you’re a foreigner, you may be left stranded with no alternative.
