Hotel Grahor

We liked the quiet setting, easy access to the main road, and the balcony overlooking the pool and countryside. The room was roomy and comfortable, with attractive furniture, though the decor was a bit questionable and the light fittings looked really tacky to us. We hadn’t realized the pool wasn’t heated, so the cold water came as a shock. It’s manageable after a few lengths. The restaurant felt expensive, with only a few affordable main dishes and portions that were honestly too large. We’d give it five stars if the lighting, pool temperature, and food prices were addressed, but we’d still recommend it as a good hotel.

The breakfast was excellent, and the price seems very reasonable for a four-star hotel. It’s close to Trieste but in a quiet, natural setting. My room was decent, though it smelled as if someone had smoked in it. The wellness area costs an extra €20 per person.

The staff really looked after us, and we had an outstanding dinner at the hotel’s nearby restaurant. With Lipica horses, Postojna caves, and the sea all within reach, it’s a handy base for day trips. The rooms are top-notch, breakfast is excellent, and the pool has a great view. Nothing to complain about.

Very clean, spacious rooms, a tidy little outdoor pool, and a wellness area inside. The views are lovely, and the hotel sits right beside the highway. Service is exemplary for a four-star place.
