The location is just average, close to the border in an industrial area, but the restaurant is incredible. The portions are big and tasty, and the local beer is fantastic. We especially loved the calamari for two and will definitely return for the food. The room was comfortable and met our expectations.

This week felt like traveling back in time: beautiful vintage Citroëns filled the roads on their way to an old-timer gathering in Postojna. Some of the visitors made a trip of it and stayed overnight at Hotel Prunk in Sežana.

I was there on business in late May, and I won't be coming back for work or leisure. It's fine as a cheap place to sleep when passing through on the way to Italy, but that's about it. My room was clean, the shower was untidy, and breakfast was relatively okay. The noise was the real problem. I was on the second floor, and some machine, no idea where, pounded away day and night. I woke up at least seven times on each of two nights. When I complained in the morning, the young man at the counter apologized and said he'd check with the boss, but he didn't know what might be causing it.

The hotel was really great, with beautiful rooms, helpful and friendly staff, and delicious food. The only issue was mosquitoes in summer.
