The calm, nature-filled setting made a great base for exploring the region by car. Bled, Lake Bohinj, and even Ljubljana were close enough to visit, and staying here was more peaceful and affordable than being right in Bled. We also enjoyed Škofja Loka, with its lovely old bridge and historic buildings. The area felt safe and quiet, and Marco was the highlight: warm and generous with local tips, and we had several really nice chats with him. We’d happily return to Apartmaji na Poljani.

The room was quite plain, but the bed was comfortable. The host was so friendly and welcoming. A good spot for a 1-2 day stay while exploring the lovely medieval town.

Marco made the stay especially memorable. He knows a lot about Slovenian history, culture, and nature, and his suggestions for landmarks, hidden gems, and cultural experiences added a lot to my trip. He was also supportive and made sure I had what I needed. The apartment at Podlubnik 191, Škofja Loka was comfortable and well equipped, a handy base for seeing the region. I’d gladly recommend it to anyone visiting this charming part of Slovenia.

The secure bike storage was a real plus for us, and the accommodation was very clean, even if basic, at a great price. Marco was kind, friendly, and very accommodating. He clearly loves his village and country, and went out of his way to make us feel welcome and offer ideas for our trip. We also had some long, lovely conversations with him. 10/10, would recommend 😊✌️

One of the best places I’ve stayed so far. The owner is very friendly and loves chatting about Slovenia and places to visit, so he’s a bit like a local guide. He’s also interested in other cultures and happy to exchange ideas. He lives in the same building and is available 24/7; he gives you his phone number and there’s an intercom system. The place itself is a nice B&B and freshly renovated.
