The rooms were warm and the beds and pillows were comfortable, though the rooms themselves felt outdated. We also found a lot of bugs in ours. When we called reception in the evening, they said no room attendants were available, so we had to clean up and kill them ourselves. The toilets in the room were wonderful. We booked the Roman package for a weekend, which included one spa entrance. Nobody explained that this meant a single entry rather than access for the full day. We nearly lost the chance to use it because we had gone in just to use the toilets. When our key stopped working, we asked the reception staff for help, but they weren't very pleasant. After we said nobody had explained what “one entrance” meant, they gave us another entry so we could stay a little longer. Service there felt cold. No smiles, and it seemed like they didn't want to work. They should improve that.

During dinner, the waiter wouldn't give us fresh mountain tap water and pushed us to buy a 0.5 liter bottle instead. That bottle cost 5 euros.

The lunch buffet was below average, and the hotel feels outdated. We paid for a night with wellness, but towels, lemonade, and tea there all cost extra. My aroma massage was listed at 65 euros, yet reception charged 81 euros at checkout. Paying extra for things that should come with the price made it feel like a waste of money.

There’s lovely nature all around, and it’s a handy spot for hiking. Breakfast has plenty to choose from, including lots of fresh-squeezed natural juices, and the pool and spa are nice too. I did find the room a little smaller than I expected from a 4* hotel.
