My dinner at the Gostilna VUGA was a real highlight. I was the only late guest, but the woman in charge kindly took time to explain my coeliac needs to the cook. She suggested mixed meat and a salad, and the portions were generous. The pork, I think, was excellent, as were the big bowl of cabbage and mixed salad. With a large orange juice it came to 15€, good value for me. Slovenia isn’t cheap. I’d arrived in the dark on my motorcycle, completely wet and dirty, and paid 30€ for one night in October 2017. The people were nice. The modern, quiet apartment was nice too, though it had stairs, and parking right by the front door was very steep.
