Hostel Pod Vologom

The spot is great, right by the bus stop, but it was full of loud kids playing on their microphones. And don’t rent a single kayak here. They were poor quality and a pain to control, so the price wasn’t worth it. Swimming was quicker and easier.

The location is great, but that’s about all I liked. It needs a full renovation. The place was very dirty, and the bathroom was almost unusable. The room carpets seemed not to have been cleaned in ages, the mattresses mostly felt like springs, and the thin doors let you hear everyone in the hallway. The floor creaks loudly too. It feels more suited to youth camps, and the price is much too high for this standard.

I could sit by the big windows at breakfast and look out over the lake. The buffet had plenty of choices, and the whole place felt cozy. My little private room had its own bathroom and balcony, everything was clean, and the heater worked. It’s an older hostel, but that gives it charm. The people were really welcoming, and there’s a bus stop right outside.

For a night it worked, especially since it’s by far the cheapest option around, but don’t expect much. The location is great, and there’s free parking and plenty of outdoor space to hang out into the evening. The dining room looks nice, though breakfast was just average. The hostel feels run down and needs renovation. I didn’t get the “adventurous vibe” some people mention.
