My son got married here last week, and the wedding felt like a fairy tale. The rooms were spotless, the food exquisite, and the staff very friendly.

There’s lovely scenery around the property, with lakes, green fields and nature all around. But when we arrived, the service was below zero. We were the only guests, yet the man there wasn’t welcoming or kind. I wasn’t even expecting a smile or a happy face by then. Dinner took quite a while to arrive. I can only imagine how slow it might be when the restaurant is full. The food itself was delicious, and the portions were big. The concept for the whole place is good, but the owners need to put a lot into it. It seemed like their focus was on events. Breakfast was a big disappointment. It started too late for us, and only a few things were brought to our table, including cheap Lidl yogurts. There were also muffins and a plate of plastic tomatoes, which I didn’t understand. They could at least offer some fresh pastry. Maybe there was no buffet because we were the only guests, but even so, it would have been better to cancel our reservation. The room was spacious, but had no kettle and just one small window, which didn’t let in enough daylight.

We stopped in for lunch, and everything was delicious. The amenities were great, and my toddler loved the playground.

We got married here in October, and the staff went above and beyond to make the day special. The food was great, and the location looked enchanting in its autumn colours. Our room was lovely and new. Beds are a personal thing, but as a light sleeper I found ours very comfortable. Maybe I was just exhausted after the big day? 🤠

We were glad to stumble across this gem. The setting is beautiful, the service professional and the food great. We’d love to come back.
