Hotel Kuria

We came in for lunch without a booking and stayed indoors to get out of the hot sun, though there’s also a popular rooftop terrace. The building and decor are interesting, with lots of Slovak antiques. The waitresses were pleasant and spoke English. The food was typical Slovak cooking, done nicely.

The colorful decor kept catching my eye, with lots of wood throughout the accommodation. The people were lovely, and we felt at home right away. After a wet day, it was so nice to be warm and dry under the roof, thanks to the central heating and especially the welcoming reception. Breakfast was small but delicious, and the location is very central. Our rainy weekend trip seemed ruined until we decided at the last moment to stay in the city and found this hotel online. We ended up having a happy stay!

The hotel is nice, the staff friendly, and the restaurant food was good, though a little expensive. There are different dishes to choose from. It’s well located near the market square, with convenient private parking. The inside is a bit dark, but it gives the place a certain atmosphere.

It’s a beautiful, traditionally styled hotel that’s well maintained and in a great location. Breakfast was good, the staff pleasant, and the price good. The front desk staff were especially friendly and accommodating. The elevator is kept locked for some reason, though at least there is one. Not every room has AC, so you may need to ask for it.
