We had dinner and were really excited about the food. The portions were large, and the bill came to just 40 €. We ordered pasta with blue cheese, Caesar salad, schnitzel and French fries, plus some very good homemade lemonades. There’s a smoking room, which is comfortable for smokers. The staff were good. Everything was good, thanks.

The location was good, but the room and bedding were dirty. The sheets looked like they could be 30 years old and had holes. They said the city tax could be paid by card, then made us withdraw cash at an ATM that charged €5.

The ribs were OK, but the rest of the meal was awful. The soup had slimy mushrooms, probably from a can, and the risotto was disgusting. Service was poor too: the waitress was from Ukraine, couldn’t understand our orders, and mixed them up. We waited 45 minutes for the food. Go somewhere else if you can, there are lots of better restaurants around.

The location is great, but we’re leaving a day early. A drunk guest knocked on our door in the middle of the night, the shower leaked, and the breakfast was pretty sparse. The minibar turned out to be a small empty fridge on a chair in the middle of the room. Half the things advertised on booking.com weren’t available: there was no kids channel or kids corner, and wifi didn’t reach every room because of the thick walls. Parking was far away. As the quote from a serie goes, “not great.”

It’s a stylish hotel in the middle of the old town, with rooms in different standards and some on the small side. There’s no lift, which can make the climb to the third floor tiring for older people. Parking is about 300 m away, near the church and school.
