There's a sunny inner patio just behind the entrance, where you can sit or have breakfast. Downstairs, the shared kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave, cutlery, cups, plates, dishwashing supplies, a kettle, and a small electric cooker. Receptionists were super patient and helpful, both over the phone and in person. This is an old historic house that's been completely renovated into a guesthouse, but it still has its own "genius loci." There's a booklet at the entrance with more about its history, and you'll love reading it. You can choose from different rooms or larger apartments. Being an old traditional house, it may feel cold to some people these days. But it keeps out the summer heat well, and opening the windows lets the sun bring in some warmth. The duvet covers are thick, extra blankets are available, and some rooms have electric heaters in addition to the usual radiators. Parking in front of the house has to be reserved in advance and costs €8/night, as stated on the official website. The website also has information about extra charges, such as for pets, late night check in, or different payment methods.

The historical building has been well restored, with lots of original details preserved, and the rooms are clean, tidy, and very well equipped. It's a lovely, authentic pension in the historic center. Sometimes the place feels a little empty and short on atmosphere because there's no permanent receptionist. Still, some people may find the lack of bustle convenient.

The owner was very helpful, speaks great English, and fit us in at very short notice. They renovated this very old house with real care and attention to detail. It's a beautiful guesthouse right in the heart of the city. Wish we'd had more time to stay!

The restoration is perfect, and you can really feel the historic, nostalgic atmosphere. The building dates from the Renaissance period and was used as the Mining Trade Chamber President's House and a Jewish Family house.
