Checking out today left us hugely disappointed. As soon as we entered the apartment, there was a strong smell, and the bathroom reeked of urine. The toilet, wall, and floor had dried urine on them, and there seemed to be biological waste left in the toilet from previous guests. The bathroom corners were filthy, there was a forgotten shower head, and hair was stuck to the walls, probably from earlier guests too. Only the sink had been cleaned. We had to run to Tesco for bathroom cleaner and gloves, then clean the bathroom ourselves. The floor was dirty, and beside the extra bed we found a child's sock. The two towels in the closet smelled bad, and one had dirty brown stains. I nearly used it to dry my son after his shower, but luckily he noticed. The bed pillow and stove were dirty, as was the wall next to the stove. The extra bed creaked every time our son moved, but that was probably the least of our problems. I wrote to the landlord and got an apology, apparently from a manager, saying the cleaner had been notified and offering a 20% discount on a future stay. That felt like they were brushing us off. I expected an immediate solution. After this, we won't come back. No regrets, this was the worst accommodation I've experienced. Older furniture wouldn't have bothered me, but the toilet was the last straw. We'd stayed in this apartment around 2020 and thought we'd be on the safe side. That was the last time.

Getting to the second floor and all the way to the end without an elevator makes moving in and out a real chore. After the discount, all-day waterpark admission costs €26.

The apartment was lovely, with a beautiful view over the mountains and part of the Waterpark. The owner was a very pleasant and helpful lady 😊

Booking with a private owner may look cheaper, but once you add admission to the area and breakfast, it ends up costing more. We paid a deposit in February, but when we arrived in August they had no room for us. There was no security in the reservation at all. Now I'd only book through Hotel Galeria or Hotel Bešeňová. Avoid the private apartments.
