The water park worked well, and the sauna was exceptional. It was also the only place where we could communicate in English. The rest of the service was poor: reception staff spoke little or no English despite the website offering an English option, and at dinner a waiter took away my food as I was bringing a fork to my mouth, without asking. The room looked very good, but the shower had almost no pressure and the bathroom had no ventilation. Our balcony whirlpool barely reached 34 degrees, then turned cold after five minutes. We asked maintenance to check it over several days, but nothing happened. The cleaning was a joke. If we put the do not disturb sign on the door, we had to ask reception for cleaning later, and it never came. We got towels changed and, once, the toilet paper repositioned. On the first day, before we had put the sign up, the cleaner knocked to ask if we wanted service. When we asked her to wait five minutes while we got dressed, she literally rolled her eyes. We had a good stay, but several things need improvement for this to count as a four-star hotel.

This was my second visit to Galeria Thermal, and the newly built Pamukkale section was a good choice. We picked a ground-floor apartment with direct access to a private pool, which worked great for us and our three children. It was spacious and beautifully decorated. The toilet flush was really loud, but the bigger issue was the parking layout. Some allocated spaces are directly below balconies with thermal jacuzzis. Liquid from above, possibly a jacuzzi spill, stained my car. There were lots of green stains on the pavement in that area, so I doubt it was a one-off. The mark wouldn't come off in an automated car wash and needed professional removal. I raised it with reception, and the hotel paid for the cleaning and let us check out late. I definitely recommend Galeria Thermal, but ask for a parking spot away from the balconies.

Young children can play easily here. Breakfast could use more food choices, and Seok-sik didn't feel anything special.

The rooms were nice, and the service was friendly. We had a pleasant stay, with thermal pools available, plus a nearby aquapark, saunas, massages, and full services.
