The location is the best part, right in front of the castle and Slovakia's oldest zoo. The hotel is good, though the room had old furniture, and breakfast was okay. The wellness sauna pool costs extra.

There’s parking, and the hotel has a wellness pool. It’s right beside the beautiful castle and zoo, and the restaurant is very fine. The breakfast buffet is simply fantastic.

Being near Bojnice Castle is the only positive. The room was dated and small, with no safe. There’s no air conditioning, and opening the window wasn’t an option because it faces a busy main street. We could hear pedestrians talking and cars rushing past. Two lights above the bed wouldn’t turn on, leaving the room very dark. The Wi-Fi was unreliable, often showing connected with no internet. The worst thing was the bathroom. There was no curtain around the shower over the tub, so water splashed everywhere. Just awful design.

The staff were all very kind, and the reception and lobby seem to have been renovated in recent years. The location is fantastic. The food selection and taste were fine, though I’d have struggled if I were vegetarian or had a food intolerance. The equipment might meet four-star expectations, but the quality doesn’t. The room furnishings, bathroom, toilet and wellness area all seem stuck in their best days in the 90s, with little sign of maintenance. They’re badly in need of renovation.
