We really liked how quiet it was here, and the Wi-Fi worked fine even though there was no cellular signal. That lack of signal was a plus for us, though it might bother someone else. The owner and his son were so friendly that we ended up having coffee and a little chat about Slovakia and their culture before we left. The place is pet friendly too, and the owner has a dog and a cat. Our room was clean and freshly renovated. It’s a lovely hotel tucked into the forest, and we’d love to come back in winter.

The cottage sits among forested hills, with a pond and several streams nearby. In winter, take wheel chains just in case. The access road gets ploughed every day, though. We found it cozy, and the owner was a fantastic, helpful host with great hospitality.

A comfortable, intimate spot, and the host was attentive and very helpful. Some ski slopes are fairly close, though I’d recommend a 4x4 car.
