Hotel Divoká Voda

Ema made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived. She was attentive and genuinely caring throughout, always greeting us with a warm smile and going out of her way to help. Her service is what made our stay at Divoka Voda such a memorable, wonderful experience. A huge thank you to Ema for her hospitality.

The restaurant was a pleasure, with really friendly service, and our room was comfortable and quiet. The reception staff were patient and helpful too. We stayed for one night on a cycling holiday and enjoyed the lively buzz from all the young people doing the white water course. We’d happily come back.

We’ve been coming here for four years, and each year it feels more like a messy dance club than a sports facility. Loud music, drunk people with children around, bottles, broken glass and rubbish everywhere, despite this supposedly being part of an Olympic sports facility. My friends were asked twice by rude staff to move their tents at the campsite because of the event. Guests without wristbands couldn’t buy water or other drinks, or food, while a private event was on in the hotel area. The checkout issue was just as bad. Before booking, I called to ask about staying until around 17:00. The receptionist told me to book through Booking and said they’d “figure something out.” I booked and brought it up again in a message, and it seemed settled. Then on the day, we were made to leave the room and charged extra. After 15 minutes arguing at reception, the manager was “kind enough” to drop it. This “sports hotel” has 1/10 service. The people running it seem completely incompetent and treat guests like walking wallets. Unbelievable.

Filthy windows covered in bird droppings, with insect nests stuck to them, and cockroaches crawling around. The place seems to have no concern for cleaning or basic hygiene. They even ration hot water, so making a simple cup of tea or any food is out of the question. Staying here was one of my worst decisions. Avoid this place at all costs.
