Parking is in a secure, gated backyard, and the room was spacious, clean, and modern, as was the bathroom. It stayed quiet overnight, though traffic noise started around 6 am. Closing the windows blocked most of it. The modern hotel looks a little out of place, but it’s really nice. We called for the receptionists, and they arrived within minutes. They spoke fluent English, explained everything we needed to know in detail, and were friendly throughout. We added breakfast and were pleasantly surprised by the buffet. There was a good enough selection.

The lobby was decorated for Christmas and looked perfect, and the receptionists were welcoming. There was a rule that guests couldn’t sit or do anything in the lobby outside breakfast hours, though. We were there on a business trip. The rooms were clean, but for some reason I felt cold in the mornings. Breakfast was decent, with lots of different things to choose from.

The rooms were pretty and clean, and toiletries were provided. The minibar was empty, but there’s a vending machine in the corridor, and parking is secure. Renew Hotel is in the centre of Holíč, and the receptionist was very nice and professional.

The receptionist was open, personable, and helpful, and the service was perfect. My room was very clean, though the hall had a sweet perfume smell. There were several problems with the shower: the door wouldn’t stay shut properly, the head and cabin both leaked, and the drain didn’t clear water well. The toilet sometimes kept flushing, and the bathroom ventilation switch didn’t work properly either. I could feel the mattress springs. It was okay overall.

A nice, quiet spot for a long weekend or an extended stay. There’s no restaurant at the hotel, but the 2nd Jozef restaurant is an eight-minute walk away and gives hotel guests a free beer. Breakfast can be ordered; it’s quite good and served from 7 am to 10. The staff speak English and German. Tea and instant coffee are supplied in the room, which feels increasingly rare in this cost-cutting world.
