Penzion Duna

I arrived for dinner close to 8:30 pm, and that was no problem. The meal was delicious, the room was very clean, and breakfast was excellent. The prices were really good too. Such a friendly place, I'd happily come back.

The location in town was excellent, and I was really glad the AC worked during the heat wave. I'd been getting cooked on long bicycle rides, so it mattered. Wi-Fi was reliable once I found the details, and I needed it for articles I was writing because my room's 4G was limited. The owner patiently talked me through remote check-in by text, though nobody was on site. It can be tricky when you don't speak the local language and the check-in is complicated. The owner said my keys were in the "vault," but I was standing at the locked main building with no sign that the keybox was down the road. I also misunderstood "by window" when asking where the Wi-Fi information was. It was hidden behind the curtains in my room. Some of that confusion was on me for not speaking the language. The owner later came by and replaced the TV remote's dead batteries. The room refrigerator didn't work, so I used a small mini fridge downstairs and bought ice to chill my drinks faster. The shower had visible wear, and its head holder didn't really work, but I managed. The restaurant being closed didn't bother me.

It's close to the city center, and there was a parking space available when we asked ahead. The rooms, towels, and bed sheets were clean. The hosts were really nice and generous, making it a very pleasant place to stay overnight.

The staff were kind and helpful, and the hotel was great value for the money. The one drawback was the internet, which was very poor and didn't reach every room.
