Maladinovo Resort

The mountains and surrounding nature were the best part of our family stay. The rooms worked well enough, though they were nothing special, and both the service and food were average. Breakfast was the biggest disappointment, with very few choices and little effort. For what it costs, the quality doesn’t feel like fair value, so we wouldn’t come back. We’re heading home after four days with a bitter feeling. It wasn’t awful, just unsatisfying.

There’s plenty to do around the place, and the nature is beautiful. It’s also well placed for Tatralandia, Fantazia, and the large water dam. The little spa is cute, the massages are cool, and there’s a small playground for kids. The place is new and very clean, with nice, polite staff, and the owner is incredible. I’d call it a 4 STAR place. I don’t understand ratings below five stars for irrelevant reasons. Looking forward to staying here next time we’re in Slovakia.

We had a spacious, modern 3-room duplex with very good Wi-Fi, and the location right beside Tatralandia is excellent. The restaurant on site serves delicious food at reasonable prices. But during our week there, some days went above 30 degrees Celcius, and the lack of air conditioning was a real problem. There was just one unit in the hallway, and one bedroom had no window that opened. Staff didn’t seem to know about the issue or help much. We asked for fans and got one, as if it were a special favor. Service felt lacking elsewhere too. They reluctantly changed only €5 for the laundromat, again making it feel like a favor. The room was cleaned just once over the week, despite the stated policy of cleaning every three days.

We enjoyed our stay so much last year that we came back this year. The room was clean and cozy, and Sandra was really kind and patient with us at the bar, even though closing time was almost there. Thank you!
