We spent five nights here in early August, hiking and exploring the natural, cultural and historical sights of the Lipton region. There are lots of lovely trails in the mountains, and plenty of caves to visit if the weather turns less sunny. The rooms are basic, but very clean. The owners were kind, courteous, friendly and incredibly helpful, which made the trip more memorable. Thanks so much, we're looking forward to coming back.

Maco means bear, Slovakia's national animal. Breakfast and dinner are available, and the room has the basics, including a kettle. The elderly couple hosting us were wonderfully helpful and very polite and friendly. It’s a peaceful, beautiful place, with a calm atmosphere.

The free ski bus to Jasná stops only 50 metres away, which made this a great apartment for a long weekend skiing trip. It was clean, the owner was friendly and even speaks Hungarian, and breakfast included a delicious omelette. The bed mattresses could be more comfortable, but otherwise it was perfect.

A simple place, but clean and tidy, and good value for money. Breakfast was very good, and the historic village location is handy for lovely walks in nature. Some things I didn't care for might be just what someone else likes.
