We booked through booking.com a week ahead and had a very good discount because we travel often. The owner seemed unhappy with the amount they would receive and was slow to send payment details. It felt as if they were waiting until free cancellation was no longer possible. They also told us outright that the price we saw on booking.com couldn't be right, even though it was exactly the amount listed there. They wouldn't communicate with us through booking.com, and the way they spoke to us on WhatsApp was rude and inappropriate. The whole thing felt suspicious, as though the delay might let them raise the price after the free-cancellation deadline and leave us stuck. Be careful if you book here. If you have another option, I'd choose it, since they may try to charge more than you owe.

Milan was kind and full of tips about things to do locally. The place matched the listing, with no surprises, and the beds were comfortable. There was enough kitchenette space for two, and parking was easy. The town square and shops were an easy walk away. Mikulas is also a handy base for day trips and hikes in the Tatras. We had a comfortable, enjoyable stay.

One room had no bathroom, so using the toilet meant crossing the hall to the apartment or the next room, where it was barely half a meter from the bed. The other room was a kitchen with a bed fitted into it. The layout felt very strange and uncomfortable. I wouldn't recommend it.
